From 2008 to 2014 Eduardo was a partner at Forastieri Abogados, S.C. (in 2011 he was in charge of the firm's office located in New York City), and during 2015 and 2016 he was a partner of the Transaction Law group of Mancera, S.C. (EY Mexico).
In 2017 he founded Olmedo y Díaz de Cossío, S.C. (currently, Díaz de Cossío y Forastieri, S.C.)
Experience
Eduardo's professional practice focuses primarily on capital markets operations, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has advised sellers and buyers on national and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions in various industries, including chemical, personal care, financial services, logistics, and mining. In addition, Eduardo has extensive experience in obtaining favorable resolutions from the Federal Economic Competition Commission in Mexico in relation to mergers and acquisitions operations.
Eduardo has acted as outside counsel for securities issuers (including FIBRAS) in connection with initial, subsequent, national and global public offerings. He has also advised leading underwriters in such operations and in the syndication of public offerings. Eduardo has also participated as Mexico's legal advisor in various private placements of debt securities pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933 of the United States of America.
Eduardo has participated in various real estate projects, including the purchase and lease of a food distribution center in the State of Mexico, the acquisition of a property for the construction of a call center in the State of Aguascalientes, and in the negotiation of various contracts between developers and tenants of shopping centers.
Eduardo also represents national and international clients in relation to corporate matters and guaranteed financing.
Education
Eduardo obtained a Law Degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2002, with an honorable mention for his professional thesis "Contracting through Electronic Means". In 2003, Eduardo Díaz de Cossío obtained the title of LL.M. from The University of Chicago Law School.

From 2010 to 2014 Francisco was an associate at Forastieri Abogados, S.C. From 2015 to 2016 he was a foreign associate at Paul Hastings, LLP. in New York City. From 2016 to 2018 he was an associate of the Cuatrecasas law firm in Mexico City and from 2018 to 2019 he acted as Legal Deputy Director of Grupo MexGas (affiliated companies of Pemex).
In 2020 he joined Olmedo y Díaz de Cossío, S.C. (currently, Díaz de Cossío y Forastieri, S.C.)
Experience
Francisco's professional practice focuses on corporate law, securities market operations, energy law, and infrastructure projects.
He has supervised and advised companies in the energy sector, participating in the preparation of documents for the commercialization of hydrocarbons, sale of assets and shares, as well as advising on the strategy and execution of infrastructure projects and public and private tenders.
Francisco has participated in national and international mergers and acquisitions operations in various industries, and advised on corporate restructuring and real estate projects. Likewise, Francisco has participated in public debt and equity offerings representing issuers and underwriters and in the structuring of two public FIBRAs.
Francisco has also actively participated in corporate matters in general of both public and private companies, including their constitution, minutes of assemblies and board sessions, serving as secretary of boards and member of boards of directors.
Education
Francisco obtained his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2013 with the professional thesis "Legal Analysis of the Infrastructure and Real Estate Trust (FIBRAS)." In 2015, Francisco earned an LL.M. from Northwestern University in the City of Chicago. In 2018, he completed a diploma in Energy Law from the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
